Blues For Allah heaven. the guitar break before 'got up and wandered' is where its at (for me) the outro jam is good but there are better ones from late 78 and 79/81. Contrary to popular opinion, this show is NOT overrated. But where's the power during saint stephen? It really comes to life right in the beginning during Loser. To me it doesn't quite have the passion some other shows have. A perfect 5, forever We never knew what to expect of coursecertainly not the 8 inches of snow that fell after the concert that May night in upstate NY (the Dead had a way of altering space and time, and the weather too) but they began to play in Cornell's cavernous gym, and as they settled into a groove after 3 or 4 songs, and kept playing tighter and hotter and more fiery with each song, they eventually caused the entire building and occupants to LEVITATE HIGH above Cayuga's waters PEACE! All that aside, the show had awesome moments of the Anthem of the year "Eyes"was fabulous,There were more air guitar playing on that tune than any other in my day! Don't be deceived by your familiarity with this music folks - this isn't only a defining moment for this band, it's one of the beautiful moments in American Music. It's hard to say that it's the best of all time, but this show just feels good. On the subject of taping, Jerry Garcia once said, The shows are never the same, ever.
